It’s springtime here in the Northern Hemisphere, and we were thinking of flowers. How lovely the gardens are beginning to look, now that it’s April.

One of the most romantic women we know keeps pots of flowering plants year-round near her bathtub, an old porcelain behemoth that is deep and satisfying to just soak in alone. She hangs lace curtains in the window, which reminds us of Ireland, and keeps waterproof sex toys at hand.

Danger: Don’t bring your plug-in vibrator into the bath with you, okay? Very dangerous.

Old porcelain bathtubs held the heat of the water well. You didn’t get cold after ten minutes. But hey, we’ve got Jacuzzis and hot tubs, hot springs and even private spas now.
